Summer and fall are the two biggest seasons for weddings. The summer weddings are typically pretty easy to dress for as the weather is generally predictable. While the fall temperatures are a tad more comfortable, the weather is more difficult to dress for. Some days are warmer and there are some that feel like winter is here already.
With the autumn weather in mind, if you’ve been invited as a guest and are trying to put an outfit together for a fall wedding, try these tips:
Charcoal and navy suits are flexible because they are can be dressed up or dressed down, depending on the wedding dress code. If it’s later in the season, try a heavier wool or flannel suit. This is a great time to mix textures and patterns for a warm look. Try the Jack Victor 2 Button Charcoal Deco.
Not feeling the suit or jacket? Vests are in during the fall season, just add a tie and button down shirt. Because fall is generally a season that requires layers, a vest is a great option for those in-between days, when the weather isn’t too hot or too cold.
Shirts & Ties
The fall season typically means warm colors like green, orange, browns and reds. When you’re looking for shirts, consider wearing one of those colors or wear a white shirt with a fall colored tie. Depending on whose wedding you’re attending, a plaid dress shirt would look great with a neutral colored tie. If you are feeling particularly adventurous, mix patterns with your shirt and tie. For example, the charcoal suit with the Andrew J Long Sleeve and the Ted Baker Purple and Teal tie.
